As a teenager I read David Burns’s book on CBT, and learning to label my thoughts genuinely changed my life. My wife had the same experience with DBT. But therapy is expensive and, for a lot of people, intimidating to even sign up for.
Using the same playbook as Baby Sign Language and Sight Words, I built a free self-study version. DBT is particularly well suited to this, it’s a series of structured exercises you can practice on your own.
I produced 40 of them, each with a video and worksheet, all expert-reviewed, all stripped of theory and built to actually do.
Growth of this one was the slowest, but it keeps building. 1.8 million visitors last year. The biggest vector is therapists, who assign it to patients as homework. Every week we get emails from people saying it made a difference — and even Reddit, which hates everything, loves it.
